Clinical Case Reports Submission Guidelines - Due Midnight EST, Friday 30th August 2019
The Australian and New Zealand Society for Sarcopenia and Frailty Research welcomes allied health professionals to submit abstracts or clinical case reports to the annual meeting. A Clinical Case Report abstract submission should provide valuable teaching points or learning lessons. It is anticipated that each case report will elicit discussion and debate regarding complex areas related to the diagnosis, treatment or management of sarcopenia, osteoporosis, falls or frailty.
The highest ranked abstracts will be selected for an oral presentation. NOTE: You must be a registered and paid delegate in order to have your abstract accepted and included in the program.
Your clinical case report must adhere to the following guidelines (NOTE: these guidelines are different to those for the standard abstract submissions):
Abstract word count is strictly 500 words across all sections (excluding Abstract Title).
The clinical case report title should emphasize the clinical condition and main teaching point. A brief title that clearly indicates the nature of the investigation is encouraged.
Introduction or Background is required for each clinical case report submission
Clinical case may include diagnostic evaluation, treatment, and follow-up
Clinical lesson(s) or conclusion(s) should emphasize the learning point[s] and implications for clinical practice. It is recommended that this include three take home messages (dot points) at the end of the abstract
Please do not use abbreviations that may not be familiar to the clinical ANZSSFR audience.
If you plan to submit an original research abstract (and not a case report), please adhere to the abstract guidelines on www.anzssfrmeeting.com.au
